Forza Horizon 4 Demo: FH301 Error Code & Game Hard Crash

So error code I keep getting (yes my drivers are up to date) is the seemingly infamous error code FH301 for the Horizons 4 demo. Upon starting the game you are given this window:

However even though it gives you a option to ignore and continue it doesn't seem to matter because the game still hard crashes back to the desktop. For me it either crashes from the start menu (press button to start) or just after the 'Microsoft Game Studios' logo shows up.

From what I can find no solution has been found, rendering the demo unplayable due to this game breaking bug. I've seen a post on the official forums bringing up the same problem with no staff member or forum admin providing any sort of solution. Not very encouraging for a Demo to have this issue and even though it offers a bypass the game still crashes. And it's even more discouraging because I bought Horizons 3 within the last few months and that game was just a pain and hassle to just get running, let along to get the online working at all.

Download citrix receiver for windows vista. It seems to me that the Horizon games have become notorious for running on PC and I guess Horizon 4 Demo is no exception. Which is a bummer because once I got Horizon 3 working I've really enjoyed it.
